Today’s post is for Project 52, a weekly blog project that I am working on with several other talented photographers whom I’ve come to know and love. In this project, we concentrate on light and spend each month exploring an overarching theme. This month marks week 49 and we are entering into our *last* theme of the year. As our last theme, we have decided to play a bit free and loose and to focus on using light creatively. This may mean different things to each of us, and to each photograph, but expect to see sunflare and bokeh, movement and motion blur, and more.
This week’s photo was taken yesterday evening. Paul and I were on our way back from an engagement party for some dear friends, and we saw this gorgeous sky out the window. I insisted that we make a quick detour to a spot in Mt. Baker where we could view the sunset peeking over the buildings in downtown Seattle. If you look carefully, you’ll spot the Space Needle. All my creative choices were made to emphasize this gorgeous light.
