Hello friends! It’s been a while. I will only be popping in here sporadically until next month, but here is my image for “victorious”. It was taken on Whidbey Island when we were visiting with some of our favorite relatives. Please click HERE to visit Who We Become and see the other victorious images this week.

P52.3 – Who We Become – Hidden
This week on Who We Become, we are exploring the word “hidden.” We were at Glacier National Park for Memorial Day and took quite a long hike (considering we had 4 kids who were all 6 and under) to this gorgeous lake hidden in the mountains. P52.3 – Who We Become – Transitory
This week on Who We Become we are exploring what is “transitory.” At the Mayfair this weekend, it seems that much of the excitement fit the bill, but the balloons floating away into the gray skies are what struck me. P52.3 – Who We Become – Imagined
This week on Who We Become we are looking into the “imagined.” Taking a look at these little buttercups in the morning dew, I couldn’t help but think there was a whole world there that I couldn’t quite see. Please click HERE to visit Who We Become and see all the “imagined” images this week.
P52.3 – Who We Become – translucent
This week on Who We Become we are exploring the word “translucent.” I love the effect of the textured glass of my front door – a moving pattern of light and form. These are the roses that Avery picked out today, as viewed through the glass. Please click HERE to visit Who We Become and see all the images posted this week.
P52.3 Who We Become – whimsical
This week on Who We Become we are considering whimsy. We spent some time at Pike Place Market this weekend – a Seattle fixture, but just another playground for my girls. They were so excited to get these red balloons on their way to Beecher’s for mac and cheese. Please click HERE to visit the blog and see all the “whimsical” images posted. 🙂

Who We Become – Abundant
This week on Who We Become we are interpreting the word abundant. And what is better than abundant ice cream – a cone almost the size of your head. Please click HERE to visit Who We Become and see all the abundant images.
P52.3: Who We Become – Fresh
We are turning to a simpler format on Who We Become and starting “Fresh.” Please visit the blog to see all the Fresh images and the discussion by clicking HERE.
Who We Become: Artistry (8)
We are continuing to work on shooting for ourselves on Who We Become. This week we are discussing specific steps that we may try to do this. One thing I have been trying is to shoot more film. Film forces me to slow down, to work very deliberately on my focus and to pay more attention to composition and other details in camera. I like shooting film outdoors, because film loves (and requires) lots of light, but shooting film indoors is much more difficult. Working on a technical skill requires a certain level of concentration and I appreciate that. I recently acquired a manual focus camera that is particularly tricky. I don’t know if I will love the images I am creating right away, but I am glad to be practicing these techniques regardless.
